For anyone new to the Food Bank, please remain in your vehicles and follow instructions from the volunteers on the street. We are remaining open regular hours: Tues.-Thurs. 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Thurs. eve 5-6 p.m.

]]> The heart of the Lander Care and Share Food Bank is our generous volunteers.  They show up every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and whenever else the need arises to make sure the hungry and food insecure of Fremont County get food with a healthy dose of love.  This past Friday, the LCSFB Board of Directors put in a picnic to show how much we appreciate these amazing people.

The Lions’ Shelter was a perfect venue for burgers and brats.

The heroic folks who feed others were themselves fed!

A good time was had by all.

]]> The Lander Care & Share Food Bank was the recipient of the University of Wyoming’s Centsible Nutrition Program’s “Champions of Change Award.” Centsible Nutrition Program Educator Rebecca Green presented the award to the Food Bank’s Director, Audrey Krise, “in recognition of their commitment to building a healthier community through efforts that support better nutrition and physical activity.”

Rebecca Green prepares recipes using the Lander Care & Share Food Bank’s commodity items. Each month Becky provides tastes as well as copies of the recipes the clients can make with items they receive at the Food Bank.
